Esri’s Utility Network is no longer the future of geospatial enablement for Utilities…it is the nowAs Esri customers plan their migration to the Utility Network (UN) and begin to look at Utility Network Service and Solution providers, we have been fielding a lot of questions regarding how Geonexus fits into the picture.

We answered those questions in a recent joint webinar with Esri, “The Path to the Utility Network: Understanding System Architecture, Migration, and Integration.”

Read on and get your on-demand webinar recording to learn how Geonexus can help your organization migrate to the Utility Network while protecting existing enterprise integrations:

1. A Recognized Utility Network Management Solution

Geonexus is recognized by Esri with the Utility Network Management Specialty for our “knowledge and expertise in the utilities market and for delivering solutions for ArcGIS Utility Network Management extension.” The Geonexus Integration Platform is a proven solution for the Utility Network, providing bi-directional synchronization between the Geometric Network (GN) and the Utility Network through out-of-the-box connectors to both the GN and UN.

2. Incremental Migration & Data Synchronization

The Geonexus Integration Platform can be used as a data migration tool to populate your new Utility Network model. The platform can also be used to connect to a plethora of leading Enterprise Asset Management and Customer Information Systems, which allows users to replace existing 3rd party integrations to the Geometric Network with a fully supported platform.

Plus, the platform also gives users the option to transition incrementally to the Utility Network. This means users may begin synchronizing data with the Utility Network while continuing to leverage the Geometric Network until all their workflows are ready to move to the new platform.

3. Partnering to Provide the Best Solution

While Geonexus handles Geometric to Utility network migration and integration between enterprise systems, we are not focused on performing Utility Network design. But, we have several system integration partners who are experts at this. We partner with leading organizations that take on the full scale of Utility Network and Requirements design, and leverage the Geonexus Integration Platform for migration, improved reliability, and reduced risk throughout the project.

We currently have partnerships with Avineon, Locana, Khatib & Alami, and Power Engineers. A full list of Utility Network Management Specialty holders can be found here.
