Skip founded Geonexus in 2009 after over 25 years of experience in the GIS, Utilities, and Asset Management Industries. Before starting Geonexus, Skip served in leadership roles with Esri and a large system integration firm. He is an expert in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise GIS and specializes in integrating Esri ArcGIS with Enterprise Asset Management systems including IBM Maximo, Oracle WAM, and ABB Enterprise Software; customer information systems; and mobile technology. When Skip isn’t at work, he can usually be found spending time with his family or volunteering for his children’s field hockey, lacrosse, and swim teams.
Jim has over 30 years of financial experience and has spent the last fifteen years as Chief Financial Officer of multiple companies across a variety of industries and sectors. Jim has worked for firms such as Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Johnson Controls, Tecumseh Products, and served as CFO to a variety of entrepreneurial ventures in the technology, financial services, healthcare, retail, and software business sectors. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Michigan with a specialty in accounting and information systems. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the Law School of Wayne State University.
Jeremy has over 20 years of experience in application development and software engineering projects. He is involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to end-user training. In addition to software development, he is also responsible for overseeing development strategies for the Geonexus Integration Platform. Before joining Geonexus, Jeremy worked at EMA where he developed an application to link, load, and synchronize data between IBM Maximo and Esri ArcGIS. When he isn’t developing software or fixing bugs, Jeremy enjoys spending time coaching his 3 daughters’ various sports teams.
Umesh is responsible for providing oversight for the customer success organization at Geonexus, which includes software implementations, technical support, and consulting services. Umesh has over 15 years of experience in business analysis, project/program management, and client management with various IT services and consulting organizations. He has successfully led and delivered highly visible initiatives using cross-functional teams and is passionate about planning, creating efficiencies, and solving complex problems. Umesh has a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Michigan. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, exercising, and cheering for the Wolverines.
Josh brings over 15 years of marketing and sales leadership experience in the Software industry to Geonexus. Before joining Geonexus, Swenson led and managed revenue creation efforts at several early and mid-stage technology startups including Amplifinity, Foresee, and Commerce Guys. Josh is a graduate of Augusta University and holds an MBA from the University of Utah.
Amelia is responsible for managing technical support, plays a key role in executing implementation projects, and assists with software QA and testing. Her favorite thing about working for Geonexus is working directly with customers to solve problems. Although she has a background in GIS, the data integration field provides a unique opportunity for growth and challenge for her. Amelia holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from Central Michigan University. Outside of work, Amelia enjoys outdoor adventuring and traveling, teaching her cat to do tricks, and utilizing creative outlets including multimedia art, upcycling used goods, cooking, and gardening.
Brooke is responsible for coordinating and completing all software release and testing processes, maintaining documentation, and working on the development of the Geonexus Integration Platform. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s in Marketing and Logistics Management as well as a certificate in Web Development. In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling, playing guitar, and spending time outside with her pup, Nugget.
Brad specializes in the implementation of GIS and EAM integrated solutions, with experience in the Gas and Electric, Environmental, and Utility industries. He is responsible for the timely execution of project deliverables and ensuring “go-live” success for our customers. Before Geonexus, Brad worked for Davey Resource Group and CMS Energy where he had a variety of roles including Utilities System Technician and GIS Analyst. Brad earned his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in GIS, with concentrations in Environmental and Land Use Planning and Geospatial Analysis of the Environment. When he isn’t working, Brad spends time playing guitar and learning new songs to impress his friends and peers. Along with playing guitar, Brad likes to spend his free time outdoors and enjoying nature.
Lalatendu Das has 17 years of experience in Information Technology. He is passionate about innovation, thought leadership, software quality, and business development. At Geonexus, Lalatendu is responsible for overseeing the Software Quality Assurance and Testing of the Geonexus Integration Platform. He is SAFe 5.0 POPM, Scrum Master certified, and has a strong background in agile software development. He holds a Master’s in Computer Application from India and an Executive Certificate in Management program from the University of Virginia. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his son and wife. He loves traveling, food, and adventure sports.
Jennifer is responsible for overseeing the company’s back-office operations including human resources, accounting, and payroll functions. She holds a Bachelor of Science in History from the University of Wisconsin. Before working for Geonexus, Jennifer worked as a Project Manager for an environmental consulting firm. When Jennifer is not at work, she is caring for her three children and volunteering with their sports and school-related activities.
Harrison is a graduate from Grand Valley State University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis on French studies. Harrison brings strong experience in customer success and support, program administration, and sales to the Geonexus team. At Geonexus, Harrison is responsible for building relationships with potential customers and helping them find solutions to their integration needs. Outside of the office, Harrison can be found at the gym, fishing, skiing if there’s snow, or playing his drums and bass guitar.
Mat is responsible for implementing the Geonexus Integration Platform, working directly with our clients to ensure the software is configured and supported. Mat has worked in the GIS industry for the last 15 years, providing consulting services to public and private utilities and other government agencies. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography, Remote Sensing. For fun Mat plays bass guitar, dabbles in foreign exchange trading, is an avid reader, and keeps a collection of ancient Greek pottery.
Katie is responsible for assisting in the coordination and execution of integrated marketing campaigns at Geonexus. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a concentration in New Media. She loves coffee, hiking, and traveling to new places in her free time.
Steve is a Business Development Representative at Geonexus focused on working with potential Geonexus customers to find solutions to their integration needs. He graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and has over five years of experience in business and workforce development. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring parks with his wife, and listening to music. He is also a connoisseur of coffee and Taco Bell.
Monalisha has over 8 years of experience in IT with a strong background in Software Quality Assurance methodologies including Planning, designing, and deploying testing strategies for large-scale web and desktop applications, ETL, and CRM Systems. She has strong SQL skills and experience in testing backend application with databases like MS SQL Server and Oracle. At Geonexus, Monalisha’s responsibilities include planning, developing, documenting, and executing SQA scripts throughout all test phases and maintain the Agile SQA processes for the Geonexus Integration Platform. She has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering and is also ISTQB Certified (Indian Testing Board). In her leisure time, she spends time with family and friends. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, and listening to music.
Wenhua has over 5 years of experience developing ArcGIS Desktop applications using .Net. He is proficient in ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Desktop. At Geonexus, he is a developer for the Geonexus Integration Platform, GeoWorx Sketch, and GeoWorx Office. Wenhua holds a Master of Geographic Information Science from Eastern Michigan University. Outside of Geonexus, Wenhua enjoys his time with family. He loves swimming and fishing.
Shilpa is responsible for performing Software Quality Assurance activities on the Geo–nexus Integration Platform to ensure all development efforts meet Geonexus’ high standard at every release. Shilpa holds a Master’s degree in Life Sciences. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, traveling, trying new foods and practicing a healthy lifestyle.
As Lead Sales Engineer, James is responsible for providing technical expertise on the sales team and leading potential customers through the technical sales process. This includes acting as a solution’s architect for Geonexus products and integration initiatives for prospective customers. James has worked in the GIS industry for the last 10 years, providing consulting services to civil engineering firms, public and private utilities, and the commercial real estate industry. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago with a B.A. in Anthropology and has a certificate in GIS from the University Of North Dakota. He also has an FAA Remote Pilot License and a certificate in Python. Outside of work, James enjoys traveling, ice hockey, cycling, skiing, and creating music.
Conner is a Software Developer focused on the expansion and enhancement of Geo–nexus’ synchronization products and on supporting our Customer Success team during customer implementations. Conner is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. In his free time, Conner likes to read, go hiking, and create video games.
Jeff is responsible for implementing the Geonexus Integration Platform, working directly with our clients to ensure the software is configured and supported. Jeff has worked in the GIS industry for over 20 years, helping implement enterprise GIS solutions for utilities. He has a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Colorado State University. Jeff enjoys cycling, basketball, and golf in his spare time.
Madeline is responsible for creating blog, video, and social media content for Geonexus. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. When she is not at work, Madeline enjoys hiking, photography, and finding new coffee shops.
Lindsay is responsible for partnering with customers to ensure that they receive the value they expect from Geonexus and Geonexus solutions. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and also holds a certificate in GIS from Western Michigan University. When she isn’t working, Lindsay can be found spending time with her husband, playing tennis, trying new recipes, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Kai is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan where he studied electrical engineering and computer science. He has experience working with software development technologies like C++, Python, and Java. At Geonexus Kai’s work mostly concerns automating the testing process of the Geonexus Integration Platform. When Kai is not working, he enjoys trying new foods, surfing (when he can), or diving into a new fictional book. He loves to spend time with his family and friends and will take part in any competitive activity, particularly card games.
