Job Description
Lead the transition of the Geonexus Integration Platform (GIP) from an on-premises solution to a modern, cloud-native SaaS architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and ease of use. Drive technology decisions, contribute to development efforts, provide technical expertise, and mentor engineering team. Drive and manage all technical planning and architecture decisions. Oversee software development lifecycle. Conduct code reviews. Establish engineering best practices, including cloud-native development, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing. Implement agile methodologies to foster collaboration, ensure timely delivery, and drive continuous improvement. Report directly to the CEO as a member of the Geonexus Executive Leadership Team.
Day-to-day responsibilities: overseeing architectural planning, sprint management, and code quality through peer reviews and continuous integration practices; defining and implementing best practices in DevOps, microservices, and cloud-native development, while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability; use of integration technologies, public cloud platforms, and modern development tools; and contribute to talent development through hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations. Supervision of 4 senior-level and one mid-level developers. Up to 100% remote work-from-home. 10% travel for internal company meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or Information Technology + 5 years of experience in cloud-native SaaS architecture integration including WS02 integration stack (e.g., WSO2 ESB, Apache Synapse, API Manager), AWS, Java, and React. Proven track record of leading an organization through the end-to-end process of obtaining compliance certifications (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR), including policy development, risk assessments, remediation efforts, and successful external audits.
